Nexus Prime is a huge news for Android fans as previous rumors reported that Google and Samsung will bring the third Nexus phone a.k.a Prime. Now Samsung and Google has announced a joint event at San Diego on October 11th (11:30 AM) and sending out invitations. There is not much revealed about the event but the title says it all “what’s new from Android”. So we expect the much awaited Nexus Prime to be announced at this event.

We have heard many rumors about Nexus Prime and it will probably be the first smartphone to run Android Ice Cream Sandwich which will unify Gingerbread and Honeycomb into one OS.

Specs wise Nexus Prime might be the Superphone not a smartphone according to previous report, it will be boosted by 1.5 GHz dual core processor with 4.5 inch Super AMOLED display and will work on 4G network.

If Samsung announce Nexus Prime on October 11 so that will be the second Nexus Phone by Samsung, the first one was built by HTC the nexus one. The best point about Nexus phones is that it always receives the Android update earlier then it’s brother smartphones.

Aside from the Nexus Prime, the event may well feature other Samsung-made Android devices — perhaps we’ll see a Nexus tablet as well.
