Twitter is one of the fastest media for spreading a news over www. Today, twitter announced to broke its previous record of tweets per second during MTV'd video music award show. Just after the Beyonce performance, it has achieved 8,868 tweets per second. Beyonce revealed her pregnancy at the awards show last night, and the announcement culminated in the singer rubbing her baby bump on stage after her performance. That’s when Twitter saw the record number of Tweets sent.
The previous record was achieved during women’s world cup which was 7,196 tweets per second. Twitter is used as a medium of information exchange and is very useful many times. As the Twitter user base grows the current record is guaranteed to break in the near future.
