Portable apps are the apps which can be carried with you in portable device like USB Thumb drive or other devices.
2. You need to create an account in Cameyo and log in to it.
Note: I created portable version of Recuva software.
4. After the package is ready, you will get a mail and link to download.
Open the software which you want to edit. Now, you will have many options to edit it.

Cameyo allows us to create portable apps in two methods Online & Offline.
Let’s us see how to use in Offline:
1. Download the Cameyo software & open it
1. Download the Cameyo software & open it
2. You need to create an account in Cameyo and log in to it.
3. Navigate to studio. Here you can see three options
- Capture app locally
- Capture app online
- Package editor
Click on the drop down button in “Capture app locally”. It shows “Ghost capture: capture an installation in virtual mode”. Click on it.
4. It will open a box prompting you to specify the software which you want to create portable. Click on browse button under Command and select the software-setup or Drag and drop the setup of the software. No need to fill in Parameters.
UAC settings will ask you to allow it, click on Yes.
5. Install the software. After the installation is finished click on OK.
Cameyo will start packing the software.
6. After the packaging is done, Cameyo will display the successfully packed message.
Note: I created portable version of Recuva software.
Steps to take the software Online:
1. To go online click on “Capture app online” in Studio and it will take you online. Log-in into your account.
2. You can upload the software into Cameyo’s cloud in two ways.
- You can give the link of the software from a website.
- You can upload the setup from you computer.
After uploading using any one of the method above, select the version of software i.e. x32bit or x64bit.
Click on Submit.
Note: You can upload the setup of size 30mb maximum.
3. Now your app will get
- Queued
- Packaging
4. After the package is ready, you will get a mail and link to download.
That’s it .
If you want to change anything in your portable software, open Package editor from Studio.
Open the software which you want to edit. Now, you will have many options to edit it.
